Manatee Springs State Park

Manatee Springs state park is a great place to hike, canoe and camp and is located just a short drive from Chiefland on NW 115th St. Visit the park in the winter months and watch the manatee which come from the Suwannee river into the warmer springs. Many lodging options from camping, cabins, bed and breakfast and hotels are available for your stay in the Chiefland area. Manatee Springs state park has many nature trails and a boardwalk that winds through the forest canopy in the springs and takes you Manatee Springs out the pier and covered observation deck on the Suwannee river. Boat tours, Bicycling and Fishing are also available to visitors in the park. A playground and picnic area are available and are located near the waterfront. The boardwalk is a great place for wildlife viewing and spotting the many different types of fish that live here.
